ALONG PATHS OF LONGING ON SHOW I

The poem 'From afar' (‘Uit de verte’) by Marie Boddaert (1844-1914) accompanies the Summer Exhibition 2017, which offers a selection of works around Domburg as classical Artists' Colony in a European context from three special collections: the Collection of the MTVP Museum Domburg, the Collection of the Municipality of Veere, whereto Domburg belongs, and the Collection Francisca van Vloten, which will be part of the International Center for Artists' Colonies in Europe, a Documentation and Research Centre to be, in connection with the MTVP Museum Domburg.

 

A selection of paintings, drawings and graphic works by Dutch and foreign artists, who were especially active in the period 1870-1930 is on show in the Museum during the Summer and Autumn of 2017.

July 8 up to and including Nov. 11, 2018

The 2018 Summer Exhibition brings the sequel: a choice of paintings, drawings and graphic works by artists who were and/or still are active in the period 1930 to now. This series of works is accompanied by the poem 'Sealand Spring Landscape' (‘Zeeuws voorjaarslandschap’) by Hans Warren (1921-2001).

 

MUSEUM’S GARDEN

Presented in the Museum’s Garden during the Spring and the Summer Exhibition 2017: sculptures by the Sealand sculptor Ernest Joachim (1949), who has Nature and sometimes Architecture as his inexhaustible themes.
