Final exhibition Robert Koepke Haus in Schwalenberg

September, 28th - November, 3rd 2019

Robert Koepke Haus
Polhof 1, Schieder-Schwalenberg

Entitled "Decade Paloma Riewe - Installations and Drawings", from September 27, 2019, three large-scale installations in the Robert Koepke Haus as well as a large number of drawings can be seen, almost all of which originated during the scholarship period in Schwalenberg.
As a guest artist Paloma Riewe has invited her fellow students Maria Visser and Johannes von Dassel, both of whom are active in the field of performance, and of which there will be a performance on October 11, 2019.
In her sculptural work, Paloma Riewe explores fragments of nature, exploring the relationship between man and nature. Here, the architectural habitat of humans plays a role, as well as nature, as the environment of man, as a starting point, as a place of longing. She likes to hide narrative elements in her works, which are only revealed at the second or third glance.

Paloma Riewe was born in 1988 in Berlin. From 2009 to 2015 she studied fine arts at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig under Michael Sailstorfer and Raimund Kummer and graduated with honors. In 2016 she was a master student of Prof. Thomas Rentmeister at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. From 1.5.2019 until 31.10.2019 she works as a scholarship holder of the Landesverband Lippe in the Künstlerhaus in Schwalenberg. She lives and works as a freelance artist in Hannover.
