March 21st - April 19th
In spring 2020, the RAW Phototriennale Worpswede will be presenting impressive positions in contemporary photography under the theme of "Changing Realities". The focus of the photo festival are exhibitions in the four museums Barkenhoff, Große Kunstschau, Haus im Schluh and Worpsweder Kunsthalle - each with its own focus, which is based on the profile of the respective house. The central picture show is accompanied by a wide-ranging accompanying program, the special series »RAW Plus« and the offshoot »RAW SPECIAL« in Bremen-Nord.
RAW took place for the first time in autumn 2016. In the meantime, the Worpsweder Festival for Contemporary Photography has become a photo event with a national appeal. In various exhibitions, a series of works by internationally renowned photographers and aspiring photo talents are shown under a common motto.
The photo festival is accompanied by a diverse accompanying program, which includes Artist talks, lectures, films, a Photo Book Salon and a symposium.
»RAW« is the result of an initiative by the two photographers Jürgen Strasser and Rüdiger Lubricht and is organized and managed by the RAW project office under their leadership. Cooperation partners of »RAW 2020« are the municipality of Worpswede, the Worpsweder Museumsverbund e.V., the Bremen Chamber of Labor and the German Society for Photography (DGPh).
The theme of the RAW Phototriennale Worpswede 2020 is “CHANGING REALITIES” and illuminates various aspects of change.
