Everything that happened / alles was passiert ist

The exhibition “alles was passiert ist” (everything that happened) with paintings and installations by Wolfsburg artist Stefanie Woch (* 1971), which also opens on 28 April at the Robert Koepke Haus, follows the first opening at 5 pm. The artist will be present at the opening, and the “Simone Helle Duo” with Simone Helle (vocals) and Martin Scholz (piano) will also be playing. Admission to the opening is free, the exhibition runs until 23 June 2020.

Stefanie Woch’s works focus on garden and forest pictures as well as travel pictures. Since 2014, she has also been adding sculptural, floral crochet works made from wool.
While a lush, partly overlapping painting style predominates in the garden and forest pictures, the travel pictures, especially from Iceland (2011), are characterised by a certain sparseness and an intensely condensed painting style. With the crochet works, Woch expands the pictorial space into three-dimensionality and also takes a new approach in terms of haptics: the material wool is an unusual combination in connection with the theme of nature and plants. Entire landscape installations are created from crocheted flowers and plants on plinths, rods and as wall pictures. The exhibition shows a combination of murals and room
room installations.
