Soft anarchy / Zachte anarchie
From April 26 to June 22, 2025, the Gevaert-Minne Municipal Museum will host the work of Belgian artist Michel Flamme under the title Soft anarchy (Zachte anarchie).
In this exhibition, Flamme presents an installation inspired by the current climate. As a counterbalance, his paintings explore a deeply personal form of anarchy.
His art is rooted in a radical simplification of forms, distilled to their very essence. Beneath this apparent simplicity lies a world that suggests stories. A world with protagonists who refuse to be boxed in, where only one principle holds true: beauty.
With Soft anarchy (Zachte anarchie) the museum invites visitors into Flamme’s world.
