CALL FOR APPLICATIONS / EUROART SCHOLARSHIP 2025 / ZUKUNFT – FUTURE
The three European artists’ colonies Dachau, the island Hiddensee and Worpswede are awarding the EUROART Scholarship 2025 for the first time as part of the EUROART network (European Federation of Artists’ Colonies).
They are looking for artistic positions on the theme “Future” that deal with the concept in a creative, critical, or visionary way. The theme can be freely interpreted and explored in various disciplinary or interdisciplinary formats.
The scholarships will be awarded simultaneously at all three locations. In addition to artistic work, the focus is also on personal exchange with the local art and culture scene. Social integration on site is actively supported by the partner institutions.
The scholarship holders will be presented to the public:
– at the EUROART General Meeting on September 27/28, 2025, in Katwijk (NL)
– at an exhibition in 2026 at all three participating locations.
General conditions
Period of stay: e.g. September 7–22, 2025, or by arrangement (two weeks)
Disciplines: visual arts, architecture, music, literature, philosophy
Services provided
– €1,000 flat fee (including travel expenses)
– Free accommodation at the respective location
Own contribution: Documentation of the artistic work in the form of a digital diary or blog (e.g. on social media)
Application
Please send the following documents (PDF) by midnight on August 17, 2025:
– Project idea on max. 1 page (related to one of the three locations)
– Resume / CV (max. 1 page)
Please indicate which of the three locations (Hiddensee, Worpswede or Dachau) you are applying for.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all interested parties – there are no age or educational restrictions.

Selection process
The selection will be made by a jury consisting of representatives from the three artists’ colonies. The decision will be announced shortly after the deadline.
