Bettina Heinen-Ayech (1937-2020) has been accepted by the FrauenRat NRW – an association of around 50 women’s organisations and women’s groups – into the exclusive circle of the most important historical women’s personalities “FrauenOrte NRW” – in North Rhine-Westphalia. FrauenOrte NRW commemorates women personalities who have had a decisive influence on the history of this federal state. The patron of the FrauenOrte NRW project is Josefine Paul, Minister for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Bettina Heinen-Ayech was chosen as a great artist, as the most important protagonist of the Solingen artists’ colony “Schwarzes Haus” and for her commitment as an ambassador for international understanding between Orient and Occident.
