Solingen meets Churfranken

Bettina Heinen-Ayech (1937–2020), Erwin Bowien (1899–1972), and Amud Uwe Millies (1932–2008) were the three most important artists of the historic Solingen artist colony “Schwarzes Haus.” As prominent representatives of plein air painting, these landscape painters guided audiences around the world in the second half of the 20th century with their expressive works.
