In addition to the well-known works of Expressionism, the exhibition included ways of thinking and views that had often gone unnoticed until then, which were summarized under the following headings: Dream Worlds, Faces of Time, The Sharp Eye, Splinters of the City and Life and Reform. The writings on the exhibition stated: “Due to the variety of themes and extended perspectives, the exhibition chapters can be understood as prisms in which the rays of art history refract. The exhibition examines how artists of the time reacted to historical developments and what position they took in the process.”
